Using the DS2438 Battery Monitor on Crossbow’s Stargate

چکیده
An important feature provided by the Stargate is its built-in battery monitoring capability. This is achieved through a smart battery monitoring chip, the DS2438, located on the main board. Here the operation of the DS2438 is explained in so far as it applies to its use on the Crossbow’s Stargate platform and the work done at UCSC to improve the Stargate’s support for the battery monitor’s features is presented so that it may benefit the Stargate community.
